Why I’m the Right Personal Trainer to Help You Build Muscle and Lose Fat

I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 20 years, but I didn’t start out as someone with a perfect body or fast results. I trained hard—five days a week, for years—but didn’t make the progress I wanted. I didn’t get stronger, didn’t gain real muscle, and definitely didn’t look the way I wanted to.

Then in 2006, during university, everything changed. I was studying full-time, working a part-time job, and completing my fitness trainer certifications on the side. That’s when I discovered High-Intensity Training. It was the only thing that made sense for my schedule—and the only thing that finally worked for my body. I started training less, but with more focus. My strength and muscle mass finally increased. I got lean. I looked the way I’d always wanted to.

After graduating, I immediately started working as a freelance trainer. For eight years, I trained men and women, young and old, fit and out of shape. They all responded well to HIT. The results were consistent: muscle gain, fat loss, and a sense of structure and control—all in just one or two sessions a week. I supervised thousands of personal training sessions and built a deep understanding of what actually helps people change.

I’ve been an entrepreneur since university and now have a family. My wife works full time as a doctor, and I’m the primary caregiver to our kids. I understand what it means to be busy, stressed, pulled in many directions. During COVID, when gyms were closed, I didn’t quit—I found ways to train at the playground while watching the kids. Fitness had to adapt to life.

When I suffered a herniated disc, I adapted again. I shifted from low-volume, high-intensity workouts to high-volume, low-intensity training. I started incorporating yoga, pilates, animal flow, and club bell work. I didn’t stop—I evolved. That’s what I help my clients do too.

These days, I train once a week for less than 30 minutes—but I stay in shape, stay strong, and keep my six-pack visible year-round. Not because I train all the time, but because I plan my meals carefully, stay consistent, and understand what works.

I spend more time reading and learning about muscle building, fat loss, and sustainable training than I do working out. I don’t waste time doing cardio for the sake of cardio. HIT covers the conditioning, and meal prep covers the fat loss. I don’t believe the secret is grinding harder—it’s building a system that works for your life.

That’s what I offer. Not just workouts—but structure, clarity, and sustainable results for people who want to feel strong, look good, and stop wasting time.
